Martin Devrient was born 1970 in the small town of Saalfeld (Thuringia), a former’s DDR borderland. Thanks to several trips and to a natural bent for the absurd, he finds out his passion for photography that, since 2001, became his principal activity.  He docks at Naples in 1996, when he’s still an architecture student. His heart remains in the city and, in 2001, after his degree, he definitively moves there.   
In his photos, he tries to catch “the imponderable in a world of weights”, “the unrestraint in a word of measures”.
